COVID-19 employee burnout

This week I will be discussing a TechRepublic article titled, "COVID-19 pandemic leading to higher levels of employee burnout" by Allen Bernard. The article goes over a study showcasing how the pandemic has made it harder for employers to recruit and how it has increased employee burnout. It seemed that jobs with a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 were more likely to report burnout. Those jobs included healthcare workers, supermarket workers, warehouse workers, and first responders. This is most likely because their jobs were upended the most due to the pandemic. It seems it was harder to recruit for jobs like that as well, people were less willing to work where there is virus risk.

I definitely recommend checking the full article out.
