Refusing the vaccine for work

This week I'm going over a New York Times article by Sarah Maslin Nir titled "Their Jobs Made Them Get Vaccinated. They Refused." Hundreds of thousands of New York workers just now got the vaccine as their jobs demanded it. There are still plenty of workers that refuse to comply. Misinformation, fear, and doubt has caused many refusers to remain stubborn. Ignorance will always exists and those who refuse will just have to accept the repercussions. The good news is that the mandates have led to a very high percentage of vaccinated in areas where it is implemented. I recommend you check out all the interesting excuses refusers have put forth for not getting the vaccine. Their Jobs Made Them Get Vaccinated. They Refused. - The New York Times (nytimes.com) Would you be willing to risk the safety of your co-workers in order to not get a shot? Or better yet... Would you be willing to give up your livelihood in order to not get a shot?

How Does COVID-19 Spread in Office Buildings?

In the Yahoo article "How Does COVID-19 Spread in Office Buildings?", it goes over a new report by Camfil Air Filtration Canada which stresses how important it is to protect against air carrying very small droplets and aerosol particles that contain the infectious virus. Aerosol particles can travel for long distances and usually stay in the air longer than bigger droplets. Aerosol particles can be transported even further and can be dispersed into different rooms in office buildings that use circulated air in their ventilation systems.  I highly recommend you check out the article for yourself for even more detailed information.   How Does COVID-19 Spread in Office Buildings? How different employees are responding to COVID-19 work changes

This week's article is titled "How COVID-19 has changed the way we work, and how different employees are responding to it" by Benita Fernando of MSN News - The Indian Express. In it it goes over new work routines and work changes that have formed during the pandemic. One person's routine consisted of taking naps instead of drinking coffee throughout the work day now. One change, that was seen as a negative, was that teams cannot be called into meetings for one employer. Employee moral definitely suffers when no one can get together in person to work.  I highly recommend you check the rest of the article out. How COVID-19 has changed the way we work, and how different employees are responding to it (msn.com) Have you picked up any new routines for work because of the pandemic?

Coronavirus unemployment benefits ended

This week I have a YouTube video that comes from a Detroit new channel going over how coronavirus unemployment benefits have ended for local residents. This is not the case for the whole country but this video highlights how 8.9 million will lose all benefits and 3 million will have weekly checks reduced to $300. The reason why it is important is because it was only done to decrease unemployment and fill up jobs again. However, with the rise of the Delta variant, this could backfire. I recommend checking the video out for yourself. (5) Coronavirus unemployment benefits ended - YouTube Do you think it was a good idea to cut off coronavirus unemployment for these people?
